this one is waterproof and great.
HINT: if youre making candy and this thing gets super messy, have a pot of boiling water right next to it, so you can submerse it there for a minute or two... sugary stuff comes right off.
After only about 20 minutes of the first use, the print is peeling off. It can literally be scraped off now with a fingernail.
I figured KitchenAid would be better than some of the mystery brands , but this thing is useless as a thermometer, and I regret not testing it out until after the return window was closed. Now I'm stuck with a piece of metal that is both inaccurate and soon to be without measurement markings at all.
Do not recommend.

Now I'm stuck with a piece of metal that is both inaccurate and soon to be without measurement markings at all.
Do not recommend.
